The founder of the Franciscans, St. Francis of Assisi is at the heart of our mission at Franciscan Mission Associates (FMA) and the Franciscan Province of the Immaculate Conception.
Francis venerated poverty and believed that nature is the mirror of God. His extensive legacy endures through the countless people and organizations that he continues to inspire some 800 years after his death.

What we can learn from St. Francis
St. Francis inspires us through his compassion for the poor, for the natural world and all its creatures, and most especially for his commitment to conduct himself according to the example of Jesus Christ.
