St. Anthony’s Burse
St. Anthony’s Burse is a fund that supports the training and formation of new Franciscan Friars. It is named after St. Anthony because St. Francis entrusted the pursuit of studies for any of his friars to the care of Anthony.
Help Franciscans share the Gospel
as Jesus Christ did
Franciscan priests and brothers follow in the footsteps of the Lord Jesus and St. Francis, embracing the gift of poverty as a way of life. They hold nothing as their own, sharing equally as brothers whatever God provides through your generosity.
The formation of a Franciscan Friar is a profound and transformative journey, marked by the need for thorough education, spiritual guidance, and strong community support. This process, while essential, entails significant costs as each friar prepares to serve the Church and the world.
By supporting their formation, you directly participate in their mission to bring the Gospel to the world. Your generosity enables these young men to fully embrace their calling, free from the burden of financial concerns, and to focus entirely on their spiritual and human development
How to contribute to St. Anthony’s Burse
To educate and support a Franciscan Brother in formation in his studies costs more than $10,000 a year. Help to meet that cost, please give a gift to St. Anthony’s Burse.
