Novenas to St. Anthony
APRIL 15 – JUNE 30
St. Anthony of Padua was a powerful preacher and friend to the poor. He is honored through the gift of St. Anthony’s Bread, through a series of three Novenas around his feast day on June 13, and during summer. We reflect on his fearless courage in traveling far and wide, preaching the Word of God.
How to pray to St. Anthony
As our Franciscan Friars remember you and your loved ones in these Novenas, we invite you to reflect on what Christian life is meant to be: steady courage, a call to love and forgive, and concern for the needs of others. We are called to be grounded by total trust, love, and dependence on God.
Novenas for St. Anthony include:
- Tuesdays, April 15 – June 11: Nine Tuesdays to St. Anthony
- June 13 – 21: Novena for the Feast of St. Anthony
- June 22 – June 30: Novena to St. Anthony for a safe summer
- August 2 – 10 & August 11 – 19: Novenas to St. Anthony, in Padua, Italy
