On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, the Fray Flavian Mucci Specialized Hospital was inaugurated at our mission in El Salvador. It is a significant achievement reflecting the commitment of the AGAPE Association of El Salvador to the people and their communities there. 

The hospital has been designed to offer the population first-class facilities, comparable to the best hospitals in the country. At the same time, the project had a goal to offer high-quality health services with deep humanism and personalized attention. 

The hospital is equipped with high technology and a team of specialized professionals. Services offered include hospitalization, an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Surgical Center, Maximum Emergency area, hemodialysis, visual health, physiotherapy, and dentistry. Specialized doctors in areas such as Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Neurology, General Surgery, and Orthopedics, among many others provide comprehensive and quality care for those who need it most.

This new chapter in AGAPE’s history is an extension of the legacy of the late Franciscan Fathers, Flavian and Jack, who strove to provide hope and well-being to the more than 750 thousand people who benefit annually from their various programs. For Fr. Flavian,the ability to provide hospital services was an essential part of AGAPE’s mission.  

The success of this project is possible thanks to the generosity of Franciscan Mission Associates (FMA) donors—among many other supporters and partners—and the commitment of collaborators and volunteers who work daily in the various areas of AGAPE.
