St. Frances Xavier Cabrini

St. Frances Xavier Cabrini

Feast Day – November 13

“Mother Cabrini” is our first citizen saint and a beloved New York saint (she’s enshrined in the Bronx and her image is on the magnificent bronze center doors of St. Patrick’s Cathedral).

She came to the United States instead of China with her own community, the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart, in 1889 at the direction of Pope Leo XIII and spent 28 years working mainly for Italian immigrants. A string of schools, orphanages, and hospitals across this country especially that now care for the needs of all attests to her success.

Pope Pius XII said at her canonization hat she knew God’s will and accomplished what seemed beyond the strength of a woman.

You are invited to join in the two Special Novenas of Masses and Prayers.
